Sonya: 8 months!
by Kelly Doroshenk, posted 2/11/2013 8:55:34 PM
We've had a fun couple of weeks with the Superbowl, John's birthday, and activities out and about town. Sonya is getting bigger by the minute (at least it feels that way) and has started 'creeping' along the floor. Granted, she only creeps backwards, but at least she's moving! She is a master roller and can swivel around on her tummy with ease. We're not really ready for a mobile baby, so she can take her time on the crawling thing :) We have been trying out more fruits and veggies and she has liked everything but green beans. Her two bottom teeth are coming in nicely and she recently discovered she can bite down and hold on to the spoon. She's also discovered her voice, which is really rather loud!

Sometimes, life can be tiring

We've found a few activities geared for little ones, including story time at the library (FYI: Sonya does NOT like bubbles blown in her direction) and a sing along with a local musician. Sonya seems to enjoy it all, letting out little squeals here and there and 'dancing' to the tunes.

Have you wrestled a bear lately?

We had a great Superbowl with Larry, Tiff, Jeremy, and Zoey and recently took our first vacation as a threesome to Cannon Beach, Oregon, for John's birthday. It was only a one night stay but we had a blast! We stayed in an ocean front room and took walks along the beach. Sonya wasn't too thrilled with sand, but she enjoyed watching all of the dogs race around the beach. We had great weather and were able to stroll around town as well. We can't wait to go back!

Heck yeah, I could get used to this beachfront living!

Looks like you guys had a great time.  Concerning Sonya crawling - we are moving the coffee table and have baby gates for the stairs thanks to Alexa and her crowd.

Sonya is so stinking cute!!!!

Declan hated green beans too, until we did mint & green beans.  He gobbled those right up!  Let me know if you want the instructions.
